This stairway was captured in 2010. The sky was lousy, so I needed to do something different. I cut out the sky and the tree. I replaced those with a starfield I created with a custom action I put together when I was doing space scenes. I found a semi-decent shot of the moon and added that. I also added some window glow to the visible windows. Suggestions?

Nice. I didn't notice the window glow until you mentioned it. Good added touch.
I find the strong halo around the moon a bit distracting. (I know it's in the original.) I would tone it down. Others might disagree.
I was trying to think about something to put on the stairs. Maybe a fairy princess walking up the stairs towards the moon? Maybe Brenda will lend you her rabbit.   Posted: 03/07/2020 16:48:47

Reduced the glow around the moon. No fairy or bunny, but I did add an owl and a pussycat. Better?   Posted: 03/08/2020 05:23:15

This one is so fantastic . You can try only with Owl. That might be better with this image :)   Posted: 03/08/2020 14:52:45

A great stairway, you did it justice with the changes. I didn't mind the moon glow but I like the additions of the owl and pussycat. No rabbit needed! The star field is very believable. Great job.   Posted: 03/09/2020 09:27:00

Tom, the mystery is fascinating. Love the version with the owl and the pussycat theme along with the reduction of the moon glow. Your creativity and sense of humor are a treasure indeed.   Posted: 03/15/2020 18:14:56

Good job placing the owl and pussycat. They look like they are solidly touching the surfaces they are on. Great overall scene, and a good discussion with your colleagues to refine this composition.   Posted: 03/16/2020 14:39:00
