Nature's Geometry by Brenda Frezeman

October 2019 - Nature's Geometry

About the Image(s)

There's a reservoir a few miles from my house where we often find pelicans and egrets. On this day, the birds were elusive so we searched for other images. I liked the geometry of these reeds in the water. The reflections of the clouds added more interest. I did basic processing in Lightroom, then did some additional tonal adjustments in ColorEfex.

Really nice photo. Great composition, great colors. Good thing there were no birds.   Posted: 10/10/2019 12:27:23

This is so serene and so ready for a wall in a place that needs its calming influence. It's also sporting lovely pastels - so different from your typical monochrome works. d;¬{D

Out of curiosity, I tried my hand at converting this to monochrome. What do you think?   Posted: 10/14/2019 16:19:50

the color version is superb. the geometry is captivating in its simplicity. the angles unify the elements. the reflection of the foreground reed pulls the viewer into the composition. Beautiful in b&w too.   Posted: 10/19/2019 10:02:48
