Lights and Shadows by Brenda Frezeman

March 2019 - Lights and Shadows

About the Image(s)

This month I'm going with a fun, graphic image taken in Santa Fe, NM. I didn't have my big camera with me one day when walking around but had my trusty little point and shoot Panasonic ZS50. The lights and shadows caught my eye. After basic processing in Lightroom, monochrome seemed the best option to heighten the graphics. I did some additional processing in Topaz Simplify to do that even more.

You have transformed what, I'm sure, was an interesting capture into something amazing. It immediately said cartoon face, with the shadows as eyes and the lights as eyebrows. Very reminiscent of vintage cartoons. I very much enjoyed this image. Bravo!   Posted: 03/17/2019 12:57:27
