Double Rainbow - How I Did It by Sol Blechman

March 2023 - Double Rainbow - How I Did It

About the Image(s)

Lucky to be at this place at this moment. The rainbow was the main subject but the way the light was hitting the land off to the right was a big bonus. It was processed to darken the sky for dramatic effect and also intensified the orange of the lights. Snapseed, of course. Sol

Sol, being at the right place at the right time is so important, but your creative editing is what makes this an outstanding image. The dark effect really makes a strong dramatic statement. You are one creative person that I enjoy following. I continue to learn from you. Thanks. Jerry   Posted: 03/03/2023 06:48:06

You really made this image dramatic. It works! The looming clouds give the image great depth which provides grand scale to the scene.   Posted: 03/03/2023 16:03:12

Wow! Need I say more? You nailed it. I hope you submit it for judging in a landscape competition somewhere.

I agree with the words, being in the right place at the right time and you nailed it. The dark foreground makes the rainbows stand out more. Sol, another photo the shows your ability to see an area that will make a great photo. Good job.

Words for all. It's great to continue viewing and criticizing (good comments of course). You are all very strong with the photos you have submitted over the years. Keep it up!   Posted: 03/05/2023 12:48:16

Luck plays a big part in much of our photography. You were in just the right place to have a high perspective to shoot over the foreground vegetation. For me it would be nice to see the original image to see the effect of your edits. The dark sky and foreground adds nice drama to the image. Well done.   Posted: 03/05/2023 14:53:35

I'm speechless. What can anyone say when looking at the magnificence of this double rainbow photograph? Hope you print it as double rainbows might never happen again in so much radiance against stormy clouds.   Posted: 03/07/2023 10:12:56
