About the Image(s)
I had a floral image on my iPad Pro 12.9 inch and laid a 40W clear bulb on top of the iPad glass. This was laying on a black cloth. I put my iPhone on a tripod at the height of the iPad/lightbulb. Turned off the light in a dark room. Focused the iPhone and set the brightness and shot the setup. After working on this procedure for a few days, this was the first image that I liked. Comments are welcome. Jerry

Boy that really worked!
How did you "set the brightness" on your phone?
The focus through the bulb to keep the filament structure sharp pulls the viewer into the image. The foreground reflection is interesting. The image is also interesting without it.   Posted: 03/03/2023 15:17:58

After using AF/AE Lock by holding my finger down until I got the yellow rectangl , I swiped up and down to get the brightness that I wanted. Even thought I did this in the dark and could see everything in the iPhone.   Posted: 03/05/2023 09:18:57
Jerry, this is a creative idea and it worked very well. The colors and the reflections are great. I've tried still life images, but I couldn't figure out a good lighting scheme. You got it right. Very nice.
I hope you will forgive me for editing your great image, but I wondered how it might look if the bulb had some power. So, I fiddled in PS and came up with the attached. I had to add the wires to get power to it, too. It isn't intended to be an improvement, it's just a bit of fun.

Wow! Jerry, the first time I saw the brightness, colors, and the subjects of your photo made me move in closer to give the image a good look over. Bringing a viewer in to study a photo tells a lot about this unusual, one of a kind image. Great job Jerry,   Posted: 03/04/2023 15:51:24
Thanks Dave. I knew if folks could do this with their big cameras, I could do the same thing with an iPhone. Jerry   Posted: 03/05/2023 09:23:13
Beautifully done Jerry. The complimentary colors and the reflections of the flowers in the bulb make this a very compelling image. Thank you for telling us how you did it. It's one of those images that captures your attention right away. Are you going to enter it in a competition?   Posted: 03/05/2023 14:18:26
This is so creative from the very idea of using the tablet as a surface for the bulb to the final processing. The sharpness and exposure and the final impact is dramatic. Perhaps a fine border to separate the image from the black screen?   Posted: 03/05/2023 17:59:00
Your photograph blows my mind. So creative to think of using laptop display as backdrop for lightbulb and getting flower reflection in the bulb. Well thought out and beautifully executed. Amazing capture.   Posted: 03/07/2023 09:36:16
