About the Image(s)

Wide Open Spaces

I have this picture with the walker in different places and with no walker at all. I was taken by the feeling of openness which the endless path seemed to enhance. Finally I opted for the walker because it seemed to give some perspective to the entire frame. Processed (of course) in Snapseed where I ended with about a +25 Glamour Glow.

I am glad you opted for the walker who gives greater perspective to the huge space. The walker's shadow gives a clue as to time of day that is enhanced by Glamour Glow. The lines seem to go forever with the flat road in a flat landscape. Finally, the mix of different textures adds interest. Nice job.   Posted: 09/03/2020 15:45:16

The great photo eye of Sol strikes again! Wide open scene with green vegetation framing the path where the hiker and dog are. The trees in the background provide depth and scale. Good job!   Posted: 09/04/2020 17:36:47

Sol, you really nailed this one. Great editing, outstanding composition and it all works.

I wonder if you want all that sky?

There is something that makes this image so strong? I think it is Minimalist feel that makes it so strong? I do feel very good about the work! Jerry   Posted: 09/06/2020 15:18:39

You did a great job of capturing this scene. The placement of the walker(s), the vanishing pathway, and the colors are all great. I like the composition a lot. I couldn't suggest any change at all.

For me having the person and dog in the scene are key to the composition. I would love to walk with my dog down this road/trail. I agree with Bob that a little less sky would be nice especially since there are no clouds. Good eye in developing the composition.   Posted: 09/09/2020 22:52:47

Luckily this woman not presented with challenge of bridge on this walk; just reference to Richard's pix. The walk is so flat and straight with same rolling fields of wheat along both sides which might make for some good bird watching or insect study if fields alive with grasshoppers and praying mantis. Think the woman and her dog make the image come alive. Peaceful landscape scene.   Posted: 09/13/2020 18:40:07
