Sunday Morning by Bob Barley

September 2020 - Sunday Morning

About the Image(s)

Sunday mornings in Old Town are calm and peaceful - especially so during these times. This is a vanishing point perspective down an old alleyway. I like the water tracing it's way down the length of the alley. No special edits other than with Snapseed.

Great light and a wonderful alley shot. Beautiful colors. Interesting area to discover.   Posted: 09/03/2020 07:28:08

Really nicely seen and framed. The arches help one focus on the depth of this image and the little details here and there in the brick walls keep giving you something to find and thus to stay in the space.   Posted: 09/03/2020 15:30:23

The colorful bricks of the buildings work well in framing the scene. Excellent depth of field. I feel like I can work right into the scene. Good job!   Posted: 09/04/2020 17:19:38

I love the textures in the bricks of the building and the cobblestones. So many lines and curves to engage the eye. It makes me wonder how many people have walked by this scene without a second glance. Good eye and composition.   Posted: 09/09/2020 22:29:26

I like very much that the alley is empty of people.
See Leah Konicki in Group 62, who also shot an empty alley this month.   Posted: 09/10/2020 16:33:39

Lots of images this month of leading lines into the frames. Was there an e-mail suggesting this? This one work well and the wetness of the trail in the center raise the image several notches. Nice and sharp throughout.   Posted: 09/13/2020 15:29:14

Love alleys and alley photographs and this picture draws me in and makes me want to follow path to see what at the end. Tack sharp. Good composition.   Posted: 09/13/2020 18:23:58

I do like the empty alley but find myself thinking...what if...there was something to attract my eye at the end. The image as you have it is very well done.   Posted: 09/24/2020 12:36:08
