Bright sunlight is always an issue for my shooting. Getting the highlights in the right location is always an issue. Sometimes I will take the highlights all the way down and then only paint the change in the locations where I want the effect. (Using the paint brush in the stack editing works for me.) I like the person in the photo to help give a sense of size and distance.   Posted: 09/03/2020 07:26:01

Good balance of bridge sign and actual bridge. The bright pathway leads you right into the scene and directly to the person in the background. As Jerry mentions it provides a scale, distance, and I will add human interest. Nicely done.   Posted: 09/04/2020 17:16:40

This is a nice summer shot with a little bit of humor. I agree with the others that the person adds scale and interest. The bright pathway leads the eye into the scene, and then the sign makes one smile.

Bright contrasty scenes can be very difficult but I think you did a good job balancing the highlights and shadows. I agree that the person adds perspective. It seems like the bridge sign needs a name added to it.   Posted: 09/09/2020 22:23:39

There's a nice sort of hazy feeling just across the bridge which says "SUMMER" to me. That person works for me too.Good thing the sign was there or I might not have known what it was.   Posted: 09/13/2020 15:26:57

Hilarious sign. In capital letters to emphasize the obvious. People walking towards bridge from other direction probably befuddled. Good eye for the obscure. Person gives dynamic quality to image.   Posted: 09/13/2020 18:18:33
