Water Drops On Rose by Sol Blechman

June 2020 - Water Drops On Rose

About the Image(s)

With all the bad stuff going on, my mind and body are happy to hide out in the garden. This is mostly edited with Crop, Details, Structure and Sharpening in Snapseed with a finish with their Glamour Glow. I also used Retouch to remove some rose parts in the lower right. I noticed Snapseed says it's now processing RAW images. Is there any reason to use that for our phone stuff? I can shoot RAW in ProCamera.

Love the Orange rose with water droplets. I probably would use Touch/Retouch and take out a few of the relative spots in the bottom right side. Jerry   Posted: 06/04/2020 11:50:37

I am always amazed by how sharp your images are. This one is super. Is this done just with ProCamera or did you use an auxiliary lens?   Posted: 06/04/2020 14:46:19

This was the native camera in my iPhone 10. The software tools helped the sharpness a lot.   Posted: 06/04/2020 17:57:58

Great colors! The use of dof adds to the impact. The water droplets add interest. Nice happy feeling moment for these less than happy times.

I don't know anything about raw capture with our mobile devices. Can't help with that. Raw can be good IF the software allows for adjusting everything like PS does. Let us know if you experiment with it.

Definitely an eye catcher. The low angle works well here. Would like nice enlarged and hung on the wall. Good job!   Posted: 06/07/2020 11:29:31

Beautiful rose and so sharp. The water drops add a nice effect. If I had any suggestion I might crop it a little more on the right or as Jerry suggested cloning out the hot spots.   Posted: 06/07/2020 18:12:43

A good profile of a rose in its garden setting with the backdrop of the rose bush and nature's gift of sun and blue sky after watering or some rain. Like the little bud peeking up behind the rose with promise of more to come. Good color and detail.   Posted: 06/13/2020 17:07:44
