Bluesberry Blossoms by Lynne Royce

May 2020 - Bluesberry Blossoms

About the Image(s)

Want to thank Sol for demonstrating his Pro Cam app last month cause it's made my photography during our 7 week stay-at-home NJ Coronavirus shutdown more bearable. The weather hasn't cooperated for outdoor photography as most of April has been combination of rain and or heavy winds but by some fluke yesterday was warm, clear skies and no wind. I wanted to capture a photograph of blossoms on our blueberry bush. Liked juxtaposing the blossoms against the oak and cedar trees in background. No selfie stick. Just me, my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the ProCam X Lite App for Android. Ran the pix through Snapseed.

Excellent photo. The hues/colors are very pleasing. Controlling depth of field really draws the viewer to the flowers. Great!   Posted: 05/06/2020 15:46:51

OK, Now I am ashamed of my self! A day or two ago I walked past several wild blueberry plants in the woods by my cabin and did not stop to take any images. Shame on me, cheers for you! Nice job and let's hope spring finally gets here!   Posted: 05/06/2020 20:32:51

I like your composition looking up from under the blossoms. Great use of DOF to make such a soft pleasing background. A follow up image would be of the fruit. Nice image.   Posted: 05/07/2020 17:32:14

Love the colors and the dof. The composition is good, too. I'm sure you are looking forward to eating the berries when they ripen! Nice shot. Thanks for reminding me about the app.
