About the Image(s)

I have biked by this church many times, but this day the backlighting was awesome. I used the SKRWT app to straighten the steeple. When using SKRWT be sure to leave plenty of space. Straightening the item will cause some cropping to occur.

Love the beautiful backlight old Country Church. What app did you shoot with?
SKRWT has been my go to for fixing and straightening buildings. I have not used it for a while since Snapseed's Perspective tool improved and I have gotten used to it. Love the tonalility.   Posted: 10/02/2019 10:25:33

Really nice image. It's a calendar shot. Great colors. The tree balances the composition and the headstones add interest. Your editing left the sky in a natural form. You waited for just the right time to capture the scene. Nice work!   Posted: 10/02/2019 11:37:27

The balance of the tree and church as well as the warm tones make this a delightful image.   Posted: 10/02/2019 13:23:53

Straightening the steeple also fixed the fence which makes the image neater and it seems sharper as well. Does the flagpole actually lean? It emphasizes the straightness of the steeple. I really like the final image and that you left the colors alone.   Posted: 10/08/2019 13:54:56

I can see why you stopped bike ride to shoot this scene especially with the lighting. App did excellent job of straightening the church. Scene really captures a slice of America. Would be good for travel book. Well seen and captured.   Posted: 10/16/2019 16:13:43

A beautiful image that would look great on the cover of Saturday Evening Post. You caught the light at just the right moment. Did you shoot with the phones HDR setting to maintain detail in the shadows and highlights?   Posted: 10/17/2019 22:24:02

Thanks Pam, sometimes the HDR is on and sometimes it isn't. Not sure on this one.   Posted: 10/18/2019 06:38:40
