Outdoor Oddity by Sol Blechman

August 2019 - Outdoor Oddity

About the Image(s)

This struck me as an odd combination of ingredients. Lovely outdoor setting and a comfy chair in a construction zone. It was a weekend so all was quiet for me although I did have to move some fencing to get closer to the chair. (Note: Sol is traveling and may not be able to comment on images)

Yes and a oddity in such a beautiful area. Your creative frame also adds to the oddity that you captured.   Posted: 08/02/2019 11:08:41

Interesting find and nicely seen. That juxtaposition of the office chair and the construction area is good.

The components make for an intriguing image, a mobile home used as an office, stacks of cinder block, and a padded office chair. Makes me wonder what the storyline is here. Nicely done.

Have a good and safe trip.   Posted: 08/04/2019 20:07:09

My first impression is why on earth is the chair facing away from such a beautiful mountain scene BUT then I don't know what scene the chair is facing. Another "talker" photograph as so many quirky captures in one image. Good eye and good composition. Enjoy your trip.   Posted: 08/11/2019 13:29:53

Having spent part of this afternoon watching (note, watching not helping) a son-in-law move stone blocks while building a wall, I completely understand the chair! This image tells a story and sets our imaginations in gear. That is one of the aspects of photography that is too often neglected. Nice vision.
Have a great trip.   Posted: 08/11/2019 21:50:38

How many of us would have walked right by this? I would have and then I would have missed an opportunity. This image can conger up a lot of tall tales. Safe travels.   Posted: 08/13/2019 18:19:03
