About the Image(s)

I came across this on one of our travels. I think this was in a gas station on October 2013. I couldn't pass this one up.
ISO 200, f/6.3, 1/6 (yes, 1/6 of a second - I got lucky)

Paul, how imaginative on so many levels! One typically doesn't think of photo opportunities in the confines of a public restroom...but I can see why you couldn't pass this one up! Also, using the orange tint gives it a sort of Halloween look about it. A innovative use of "monochrome" that is something other than B&W. I do notice one thing that is different about the two images other than the colorizing: The wall reflection does appear brighter and more distinct in the B&W version and I would like to see that carried over to the colorized version. Very fun image!   Posted: 04/04/2021 10:39:25

Yes, talk about taking advantage of what is in front of you! I agree that the higher contrast in the BW version makes the "subject" more obvious and would like to see this carried over to the colourized image.   Posted: 04/13/2021 15:26:11

I agree with both of you - the mono is more distinct. I hadn't thought of the Halloween look.   Posted: 04/13/2021 16:58:15

I also don't know why I put the color image in here. Classic boo-boo...   Posted: 04/18/2021 16:59:44

Great catch, just add more contrast to the color and I would stay with that one, it would fit the Halloween theme more than the monochrome.   Posted: 04/19/2021 13:40:53
