About the Image(s)

I shot this in one our local parks about a week ago. Taken with my Fujifilm XT-10 at 18mm. ISO 400 and although my aperture was wide open (f/3.5), there appears to be decent sharpness from front to back. 1/1900 sec. I am, thanks to being part of this group, experimenting more with BW landscapes. This was converted to monochrome entirely in Lightroom where I increased the shadows. decreased the highlights, and made some adjustments to the BW color mix.

I like the curve in the river bank leading to the bridge. The bird on the bridge adds a focal point. The sky adds interest. To improve you might consider adding more contrast and, possibly, cropping the left.   Posted: 06/06/2020 17:59:16

Thanks, David. I like your crop from the left. I did heighten the monochrome contrast, but ended up toning it down a bit so as to maintain as much detail in the dark tree on the right as possible.   Posted: 06/10/2020 15:55:47

This is a very pleasing, peaceful image. You have good focus and depth of field. I like the edits David made and I would suggest cropping down a little from the top.   Posted: 06/14/2020 21:14:43

I like your image, the gentle S curve of the bank, the whole scene is so peaceful. I would crop off the top and from the right as David suggested. Otherwise, I think it is a very nice shot.   Posted: 06/14/2020 22:11:01
