About the Image(s)

This Union Pacific train delivers to Olathe, Colorado. Created with the Fujifilm X-Pro2 camera coupled with a 16mm lens set at f/16. ISO 1000 and original capture in color with a Fujifilm Velvia simulation set. Post processed in PSCC2019 using the Black and White conversion tool. With that, we have full control over every color including the sky. Is the sky too dark? I purposely made the engine lighter to stand out. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I like this image which is sharp where needed ad the detail is perfect. For me the sky is just right not too dark and not too light. The trees seem strange and I am not sure what you can do with them. I would darken the cylinders in the background as they are competing with the locomotive. I have reduced the brightness of the front of the loco but this is hardly noticeable.   Posted: 10/05/2019 12:54:00

I am a cloud guy but nature controls. I like what you and David have done, including right side cropping, and not further comments. And thanks for freeway arches comments.   Posted: 10/06/2019 13:09:07

I do not think the sky is too dark. In fact, it really shows off the train well. You have nice focus and details. I agree with David's suggestion to darken the tanks in the background. As they are now, they are competing with your subject. I find my eye being pulled to the tree to figure out what the light, cloud-like shapes at the end of the branches are. Not sure if it's possible, but I would try darkening or cloning those areas.   Posted: 10/10/2019 14:06:27
