About the Image(s)

Tech info: Nikon Z6 with 24-70mm at 70mm, ISO 50, 4 seconds at f/22.
Taken at Bond Falls hoping for some fall color, but the color had not changes yet. So I tried some closeup images of the falls. Since there was not much color, I thought Monochrome would work the best.

I'm not sure where the subject is. Monochrome is definitely better than color.   Posted: 10/05/2019 14:30:49

Definitely agree with mono chrome.

My problem is I've seen the scene with Fall color to catch and hold the eye. Would trees/scene above the water line help?   Posted: 10/06/2019 12:58:47

There are some interesting shapes and patterns in the image and a good range of tones. It is difficult to rest the eye and as Chuck says "where is the Subject" You might consider cropping the bottom.   Posted: 10/10/2019 06:16:45

You have really nice movement of the water and I like the monochrome treatment. Good choice of shutter speed. My suggestion is to darken the strip of white at the very top of the frame.   Posted: 10/10/2019 13:59:07
