You captured a great moment which I think is very effective in monochrome. You could enter this in photojournalism as well as black and white. It tells a cute story. I like the composition. My only minor suggestion is to selectively sharpen the lady who seems just a little "soft" to me. Nice job.   Posted: 07/03/2017 20:32:29

I like the color slightly better than the mono. Both are very interesting and could work well in PJ competitions. If you were not going to enter PJ, then I would clone out the drop on the lower left side, it is a little distracting. Otherwise it is an interesting image which tells a nice story.   Posted: 07/04/2017 10:34:43

The story telling aspect of this shot is what really makes it for me. Well done. Montchrome is the best version in my opinion because it adds some mystery. If you had not told us it was a zoo shot I would think it is a street scene in Alaska.

I like both versions but I prefer the colour, since it brings out the colours and textures on the wall. In the colour version I would de-saturate the blue near the penguins and the red on their wings. I agree with Jeffrey about cloning out the drop. A good image in either colour or mono.   Posted: 07/06/2017 11:15:31

Great shot. Nothing more to add except I like both images and could see them in both mono and PJ Open/Human interest   Posted: 07/29/2017 10:10:15
