Purple is my favorite color. When I encountered lilies either on a pad or in the water I was drawn to the one with its head held high - reaching for the sky - separate and while the same — clearly stretching to be different.. Cannon T3i 250 lens . Post processing Nik Define 2 for enhance color and detail extraction.

Nice colors. I think i would be tempted to crop in tightly around the flower but this would eliminate the 'head held high' feature you mentioned Joanne. Posted: 02/15/2021 19:22:20
I like this photo! The flower is nice and sharp. The color grabs the viewer right away. It really stands out. I would suggest cropping in from both sides, turning this in to a vertical. Well done! Posted: 02/18/2021 14:18:02
Color, focus and bokeh are attractive to me. DOF of the flower seems very good. I am distracted by the bright water. I agree a vertical crop might make a stronger image. Posted: 02/22/2021 19:59:40
Beautiful flower with great color and focus. Overall it feels a little unbalanced to me. It is a little bit top heavy. I think the other suggestions of a vertical crop would help with the unbalanced feeling for me. Posted: 02/28/2021 10:08:59
