About the Image(s)

My wife had been suggesting for some time that we put up a bird feeder, so I finally succumbed and stopped at a local wild bird store and came home with pole and assorted accessories for holding bird feeders. It did not take long before the birds found the smorgasboard. I attached branches to the pole so that I could take more “natural” looking photos.

I super like how sharp the photo is, colored, and and isolated the background in a nice way, well done Alan   Posted: 10/12/2020 02:54:49

Our camera club had a webinar by a nationally known bird photographer. He stressed that you want the bird to connect with its audience, you want the angle of the head towards the camera but not looking right at the camera, you want the eyes to be sharp and want to see a reflection in the eyes. You did it all in this image and the bokeh is perfect. I find this to be an awesome and lovely image.   Posted: 10/25/2020 20:23:35

Excellent job. You nailed the focus and depth of field. The background is nice without distractions and you captured some personality of the bird. My favorite part is the small feathers sticking out of his chest. Nicely done.   Posted: 10/31/2020 11:55:27

Simply awesome! The composition, color, and subject all working together for an almost surreal vision.   Posted: 10/31/2020 16:10:27
