About the Image(s)

New Jersey’s national Sandy Hook beach opened today. Although cold and windy, the dancing of the waves on nearby rocks was like a symphony playing to the tune, "Free at Last". There were not many adventurous souls out.... but the few bikers, and nearby fishermen, all looked satisfied to just be on the beach. I took a few shots of images with my iPhone — not impressed — I started having fun in the editing process. I have also included the original so that you can see the transformation. Shot with iPhone and edited with Topaz multiple adjustments.

Although this is not my type of image it came out nice. I have a suggestion to remove the white curve in the upper right to make it a smoother blue/purple sky. Keep playing and having fun.   Posted: 05/20/2020 11:24:32

Like Tom, this generally is not my cup of tea, however
I do like the result in this case. I've no idea how to go from your original to the final version but I can easily imagine this enlarged, framed and hanging in a museum of modern art or on a private collectors wall.

I have lots of 'not impressed' photos. This has inspired me to experiment. Thanks for sharing Joanne and well done.   Posted: 05/21/2020 21:38:53

Very cool transformation. Topaz made mountains appear in the background. Looks like a campground area or trailhead off the parking lot. I agree to remove the flare right upper part of the image and also one on the left side just above the green sky. Very nice.   Posted: 05/23/2020 19:53:26

Interesting abstract. I like the colors and shapes. I would probably crop out the upper portion of the sky that is a pink smear because it distracts from the geometric patterns of the rest of the image. Overall, I like it.   Posted: 05/31/2020 11:32:28

When I was reading your description and you said you had included the original, I took a look. WOW! I could not believe that boring photo turned into something that so grabbed my attention. Excellent work! Have a good time experimenting with other photos.   Posted: 05/31/2020 12:32:38
