Did you use any type of device to trigger the shutter to capture the lightning? Or was this pure luck? Very nice image!   Posted: 01/11/2020 08:38:50

I did not use a trigger device. I saw the storm and lightning was very frequent. I kept the shutter on bulb for up to 60sec. And repeatedly opened and closed the shutter so as not to over exposure the lights until i got the lightning. For this image, the shutter was open for 16 sec. ISO 800.   Posted: 01/12/2020 13:56:38

At times, I've used the same technique to capture lightning, however, while I've caught the lightning, I've never managed it it in such a spectacular location. Great job Fred, I like this a lot.   Posted: 01/20/2020 15:41:55

Freed this is a nice shot. It might be just a matter of taste but i find the lights on the hill side a little to yellow. I went to Photoshop, Adjustments, Hue/Saturation, Yellow and used the bottom slider to the left to remove some of the yellow. In the Original it does no look as yellow as presented.   Posted: 01/23/2020 16:03:15
