October 2019 - Red Mangrove - The Birth of an Island - Everglades National Park

About the Image(s)

On my way to Miami I spotted this lone red mangrove our in the wet lands. Early morning sun was just right. Clouds reflections we almost perfect.

Canon 7D Mark II, f/13, 1/250 sec., ISO 200, 28-300 lens at 140 mm, hand held.

I removed some random grasses that had started to grow and a small crop from the left side.

I had to look at this image a bit to really see what you had captured. The water is so smooth that it took me a bit to see the mangrove and its reflection in the water. This image is well exposed, well composed. Well done!   Posted: 10/21/2019 18:25:03

This image is so cool. The exposure is perfect. The image has a wow factor. It appears to me to be tilted to the left just a little. This may just be an optical illusion due the the ripples in the water being diagonal from up right to down left.   Posted: 10/30/2019 20:43:03
