About the Image(s)
My image was taken in Death Valley last February during the wildflower blooming season. The coyote appears to be admiring the flowers, maybe his version of “stop and smell the roses”. He was standing just along the side of the road. I was able to get the shot from the car so as not to spook him. I steadied the camera with a bean bag on the door. (Note there is no engine vibration in my hybrid Prius when the car is in park. The motor does not kick in until about 20mph.)
Canon EOS 5D MK III, 24-105mm F4L lens at 93mm, 1/90 sec f22 ISO 200. Camera was set at aperture priority; image captured in RAW. Image was processed using Photoshop CC Camera Raw filter to adjust black, white, saturation and contrast levels. The saturation and luminance of the yellow channel in the Camera Raw HSL panel was also raised to highlight the flowers which also enhanced his coat. There was some cropping for composition.
I also included a small jpeg of the original raw capture without any processing.

I suggest bringing the side of the coyote out of the shadow. I brought it into LT, and with the brush tool I highlited the side of the coyote. I increased the exposure and shadow sliders and decreased the highlight slider to compensate for the increased exposure.
