About the Image(s)
I shot this image for my local camera club’s assignment “Hand of Man Abstract”, an abstract of something man made. I went to an informal car show at our local Bob’s Big Boy, where there were lots of fun subjects. I shot this with my Olympus E-M1X camera, a 60 mm Macro lens as 1/30 of a sec, f 6.3 and ISO 200. No flash was used. I converted the image to Black and White in Lightroom and worked in Photoshop to clean up some area that were blown out and added a little warmth to the tone. I have submitted the original, unedited version for comparison

I love the black and white and am glad I don't have to say what it is. I like the placement of 3 items but wish you had removed the blurred objects in the upper right (although that may have left too much black space). I like the way the upper curve ends at the lower right point but wish that small blurred strip were not there. Overall an interesting image.   Posted: 04/04/2021 14:33:37

Very interesting photo and one that males recognize more than us females. I do like the change to black and white. Maybe a vignette would hide some of those more out of focus areas.   Posted: 04/04/2021 20:40:32
Thanks, I will give the vignette a try.   Posted: 04/06/2021 23:27:04
Lloyd, I really like your image. I like your editing choices because they gave the shot subtle tones and textures. I agree with Jamie that maybe a vignette would soften things around the edges.   Posted: 04/05/2021 13:08:52
