Emily, It's a beautiful shot. The mix of colors is great. You managed to get the perfect conditions where the sky had lovely white clouds and the water was perfectly still, giving a beautiful reflection.   Posted: 09/14/2020 10:59:38

Thank you. It really was a perfect day for shooting photos on the lake. I don't know if the city painted the pier red intentionally - but whoever had that idea was really clever. The pier looks really bright and contrasts with the lake and surrounding colors perfectly.   Posted: 09/14/2020 11:02:22

Emily,
I wanted to see how the shot looked with a little less of the greenery in the foreground, so I cropped it a little.   Posted: 09/14/2020 11:18:08

Thank you, I like it with the crop! I've noticed that cropping things to/near the 16:9 ratio really makes panorama-ish and landscape images look really good.   Posted: 09/14/2020 11:22:05

I like both views but probably like the crop a little more. The colors are wonderful as are the clouds and the reflection.   Posted: 09/14/2020 13:20:14

Jean, I hope you can stay safe - we hear about how bad the fires and smoke are. Do you live there or are you visiting?   Posted: 09/14/2020 15:33:06
