About the Image(s)

I shot this image when we were at the Colorado Springs PSA Convention and decided to rework it after I finally gave in and subscribed to Photoshop CC and watched a tutorial on Luminar 4.
As you can see, I think the work I did made a major difference in the final result.

And here I thought you had taken this at night and I was wondering how you got the lightness all around the rock. I guess I may have to get Luminar. I also love the rock and for a minute wondered if it was Balance Rock on Mount Desert Island in ME but then I read your comments. Great image.   Posted: 06/09/2020 07:49:02

I like the the way in the final picture that the blue on the smooth part of the cliff face "reflects" the blue of the sky. This pulling together of the distant parts of the photo was not apparent on the original.   Posted: 06/19/2020 16:13:24

Thanks. I'm in the process of putting together a webinar so wait a couple of days on Luminar as they usually offer a discount.   Posted: 06/09/2020 08:18:25

The final version certainly transformed the original into a more exciting image. The halo around the rock looks a bit strange. Is it possible to change the halo effect in the program?   Posted: 06/10/2020 22:16:49

Your use of the background really works well with the image, particularly the setting/arid landscape and the positioning of the rock.   Posted: 06/19/2020 15:34:28
