BARREL COOPER DEMONSTRATION by Margaret Sprott, APSA

August 2019 - BARREL COOPER DEMONSTRATION

About the Image(s)

This is another picture I took in France in June, 2019. We had the opportunity to watch a barrel cooper demonstrate how to make a barrel. We were inside so I had the ISO at 5000 and hand held by Nikon 5300 with 18-400 mm lens and shot it at f3.5 at 1/125. I did my usual LR processing and cropped it quite a bit. It was amazing to watch this and learn about how much a hand-made barrel cost and that they can only be used one or two times.

Very interesting photo. I love all of the horizontal and vertical lines. It tells a good story too. Think you did well with low light.   Posted: 08/12/2019 12:42:56

Interesting story telling image. The high ISO has resulted in grains, specifically on the body of the worker. I think, it can be corrected in PS. I tried a quick one with denoice option in photoshop. The result is given.   Posted: 08/16/2019 14:31:03

I wondered what was wrong with his face and now I know. Thanks for the tip - I will definitely try it. Glad you liked the story.   Posted: 08/16/2019 15:06:39
