About the Image(s)

Our club assignment for January is round things. I thought this might be a something different. As it turned out, I didn't finish it in time so I found a life preserver to submit instead. However, the more I played with this the more intrigued I begame with the possibilities. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm losing it in my old age. Your comments are appreciated.

I've also included my Mauri warrior from last month after I played around with the distort filter in photoshop and opened his eyes a bit at your suggestions. I wonder what you think about him now. Bev

My first impression was "I want some of this" which I guess means I think it has good impact. I like the fact that there are 3 meatballs and there is definitely a center of interest. I am wondering why there is a little more space on the right side of the plate and whether it would not be better it the plate were centered on the blue background. Was that deliberate? I did not notice it at first so I don't think it is distracting. I like the contrast between the yellow/brown of the subject and the blue background.

I guess the off center is a combination of rule of thirds and to tell the truth, I never gave it a thought. Thanks for your comments.   Posted: 01/19/2018 17:33:28

I like the warrior much better than the one you posted in November. You fixed everything quite well.   Posted: 01/19/2018 17:51:45

I think you nailed the assignment. The plate looks slightly off center.   Posted: 01/20/2018 09:53:12

It is, but I never gave it a thought.
