About the Image(s)

This is a seascape from the ferry taking us up the West coast of Norway. This scene is a short distance from the arctic circle. I sued a polarizing filter, converted to B&W with Silver Efex2. using its orange filter and the fine art preset. Cropped some of the foreground and increased the structure slider a bit.

More of a sky-scape to me, it has a beautiful sense of place of those windy hi/low latitude places. The clouds at top become the subject for me, and some of the flares around there become a bit of a distraction. Overall, I find this a great travel shot and would love to visit this area.   Posted: 01/10/2018 21:20:54

I agree with Jack (sky-scape)as I couldn't tell it was water on the bottom. Great shot with much sky drama and good contrast.
You post work is spot on and well done.   Posted: 01/11/2018 16:51:05

This is on my bucket list as well! The clouds are beautiful and the main subject of your image. Also I could not help wanting to see more of the distant mountains on the right.   Posted: 01/12/2018 14:13:19

I like this as a sky scape as well. I cannot add anything to what has been said already.

A great job in post processing and a wonderful image. Thank you for sharing it with us.   Posted: 01/13/2018 13:26:57

I agree, it is a sky-scape. I would make the mountains less "visible", lighter or so. Great!   Posted: 01/17/2018 09:54:27
