Ron, you did a great job of straightening the building. What program did you use, and where was the photo taken.   Posted: 11/02/2020 18:40:58

St Ann Abandoned, was shot three months ago, in a Detroit suburb. I happened to be lost at the time I ran into this, coming from a club photo shoot. The church was deep in weeds and shrubs all around it, hiding from the local traffic. On a dead end street that I chose to turn around on to get my bearings for home. Once again, I used my "no trespassing license" to get into the building. Nikon D700 ISO 200, 24mm 1.4, f11 @ 1/4 sec (+/-5), processed in Photomatix 6.0, with some adjustments in Affinty photo. Beautiful. I love the colors of the photo. Nice and sharp, too.   Posted: 11/03/2020 17:09:50

Looks like this must have been a great place in its heyday. It's unfortunate that Detroit has suffered such a great downturn in recent decades; we get several Detroit TV stations in our satellite package and have heard a lot about how they're trying to clean up and entice new industry (maybe not right now because of the pandemic). Well done, straightening worked out really well. The grunge treatment really suited this subject.   Posted: 11/20/2020 16:55:33

This image is a very true to life depiction of our times....too much of "old beauty" going to decay, religion becoming less formal, etc. The image is very well done and leaves a lot open for discussion.   Posted: 11/26/2020 12:14:24
