About the Image(s)

This was processed in Photomatix, using their Natural preset.I played around a bit cropped it to remove distracting stuff and also darken the background. Taken in Munising Upper Michigan. Oh, and I also turned it around...

Hi, Richard -
1/1250 f/13 800 ISO
1/640 f/11 800
1/500 f/8 800
90 mm Pentax macro

It worked, but I guess I should've used manual...   Posted: 06/05/2020 13:31:37

Paul, your seeds are very sharp, but the rest of the photo is soft. If that was you intention, good. If not, then you need to set your f stop to f/16 or higher to get the rain drops in sharp focus.

I also darken the flowers in the back to bring out your flower.   Posted: 06/05/2020 14:06:09

Yes, Richard - that was my intent. It worked pretty well. I also like the background darker. I missed that.   Posted: 06/05/2020 15:39:02

I Really like the photograph, can't wait until the lilies bloom in my yard.
This may have worked better in focus stacking than an HDR.
The petals and water drops may have come out sharper if you kept the same f stop for all the brackets.   Posted: 06/06/2020 16:56:24

Good detail and color. I also notice that the DOF could have been greater. It might have been a candidate for focus stacking, as long as it was not moving in the wind.   Posted: 06/22/2020 15:49:55
