About the Image(s)

Happy New Year, everyone! While on a wagon ride last fall in elk country Pennsylvania (on a day when the elk had, unfortunately, gone into hiding), the wagon driver stopped by this beech tree in autumn color. To bring in sky detail and emphasize the colors, I shot the usual 2-stop brackets, which I later brought into Lightroom and then processed in Aurora HDR 2019 , using the "Modesto" preset. Back in Lightroom, I cropped the image, reduced the highlights to emphasize the stormy clouds, and made minor color adjustments to accentuate the color difference between different parts of the tree.

Don, you did a great job of using your bracketed shots to bring out the best of each. The Clouds really add to the image, and the use of the Original 3 to bring out the background detail. I think the color of the trees are really done well. Nice Work!   Posted: 01/07/2020 12:45:19
