About the Image(s)

. My January photo was taken in the Florida Everglades. Access is only 20 minutes away. Was there for sunset photo but decided it was not worth while. Then I noticed the tall weeds and "saw" something better. Shot in RAW, 27mm, 1/80 sec., f8, ISO 160. Adjustments included exposure, contrast, black point and shadow and sharpening.

I really like this silhouette of tall grasses against the setting sun. A very moody feeling. Although I like the image as it is, I might try cloning out the brighter white clouds using Photoshop's spot healing brush to see if it gives the image more consistency.   Posted: 01/01/2021 18:37:24

When I hold my hand to block the white clouds, I think you are right.   Posted: 01/02/2021 08:27:17

You have successfully handled the silhouettes of the grasses, maintaining good details. I especially like the layers you have here. I think you could crop down a little on the sky to make it more of a panorama. Very well done. This would look nice printed and hung.   Posted: 01/07/2021 10:03:30

love the tall grasses, rid the cloud at top, or crop down some as Cindy suggested.   Posted: 01/13/2021 04:20:19

Don't have much add about this image other than moving the setting sun away from the center. But, dead-center sometimes works.   Posted: 01/17/2021 21:44:28

A very beautiful sunset image. The silhouette of the tall grasses is the main effect produced in the foreground. However, the horizontal dark bad in the middle breakdown the silhouette and did not provide the depth of field.   Posted: 01/27/2021 02:47:54
