About the Image(s)

Agenna Shipyard was originally a loading dock for mineral transportation until 1966 when it was used by the Agenna Shipyard and related shipbuilding facilities were built. Now, it is deserted, with its reinforced concrete structure eroded and exposed, forming a modern decadent style. It has become a sightseeing spot for visitors, who love to take pictures here. An American movie star Chris Evans, the lead of Captain America, has come here to shoot an advertisement.
My Niko D810 was on tripod with f/13, 2.5 seconds and ISO of 125. It was sunset and the concrete structures were reflected on the water. The trouble with this image was the cable lines (see original) across the sky. It was a tedious job to remove all these cables. The local enhancement was done in Viveza2 and finally cropped in PhotoShop.

Bai, I was unable to open your photo and this was posted by mistake. Please resend your photo as an attachment and I can hopefully replace this one.   Posted: 10/09/2020 17:02:54

A beautiful city-scape image. I love the way the trail of red tail lights streak through the cool-blue image, leading the eye to the red sunset.   Posted: 10/11/2020 10:18:28

I really like this photo!! It seems to have all the qualities required--taken at twilight, blue hour, bridge and lights lead us into the heart of the photo, bridge set on an angle, sharp through out. My only concern is the sun. I have tried to photography both sunrises and sunsets. You never know what you can get. I was wondering if this place is one you can easily visit again, and if so, try a different sunset. The bridge will still be there as will as everything else.

Bai: What is the shutter speed and aperture?   Posted: 10/11/2020 11:02:50

Dear Don, Thanks for your comment. The place is in Niigata, Japan. If I would take vacation again, I probably will visit again. The photo is taken from the high building of the Niigata Newspaper which is free access to public. Yes I would expect to have more colorful sunset the next time!

The imahe is taken with my Nikon D810 on tripod, f/32, 45.1 second and ISO of 64.   Posted: 10/12/2020 01:25:33

This is the description of my image:

The Bandai Bridge is a bridge crossing the Shinano River in Niigata, Japan. The current bridge was constructed in 1929, and was designated as a nationally Important Cultural Property in July 2004. Today the Bandai Bridge is considered the symbol of the city of Niigata The current bridge contains six arches and is made of reinforced concrete with granite siding. It is 306.9 meters long, 21.9 meters wide, and has two car lanes in each direction. The bridge is one of the city's most scenic spots, especially when lit up at night.
I watched the sunset over the Bandai bridge on the upper floor of the Niigata Newspaper building. My Nikon D810 was on tripod with f/32, 45.1 second and ISO of 64. The post-processing was done in Viveza2 and cropped in Photoshop.

I love the blue hour colors in this image. The builds are in great focus and crisp. I love the motion blur of the traffic and the colors they cast, along with the smooth water and reflections. For me, the brightness of the sun peeping through the clouds pulls my eye up and away from the scene. If it were mine, I would try cloning out the bright white of the sun. It is an excellent cityscape.   Posted: 10/12/2020 10:01:19

The setting sun, the headlight streaks, and window lights all work together.   Posted: 10/14/2020 11:06:42

nice evening sunset shot! beautiful. splendid color and composition. Great shot!

f/32, what lens is that? the only lens I have got up to f/40 is 105mm/f2.8, but it works, no wonder it is up to 45".
Did you try a set of shots with bracket exposure?   Posted: 10/22/2020 04:41:27
