About the Image(s)

I love looking for interesting doors and windows when I travel. On a recent Danube Cruise, I found many in the cities we saw. I opened the Raw file in Camera Raw first and adjusted the clarity and shadows sliders. Then in Photoshop, I straightened and cropped and adjusted the contrast and details in Nik Color Efex and Viveza. Settings: f/8, 1/30 sec., ISO 100 and 16 mm focal length.

Wonderful looking door. With your framing, so much to see, almost too much to appreciate! The "road" tiles lead the viewer into the subject, the complex door, then its dinner time--arch, house number, light above door, stone framing of door, etc. Well done Cindy.   Posted: 08/04/2019 09:11:03

Great doorway, Cindy. I love photographing all doors. I like the detail in the door, wall and street stone. I think the colors in the three main areas work well together; door, wall and street. My eye can roam around with great interest!   Posted: 08/07/2019 07:59:31

very nice, sharp, details, contrast. especially from a ordinary door way, original, nice transformation. love it.
That remind me to dig out an old photo earlier this year took at an university campus chapel door.   Posted: 08/12/2019 11:06:12

I like doors and this one has a lot of interest (and probably considerable history - if only it could speak). Much to see here.   Posted: 08/15/2019 20:00:44
