October 2020 - Zell am See

About the Image(s)

This photo was taken during my visit to Zell am See, Austria in July 2017. Zell am See is a beautiful destination both in summer and winter. Owing to its beautiful lake and amazing mountains it offers great opportunity for scenery photography. You can enjoy swimming in or cruising the lake. You may enjoy its mountains hiking in summer and skiing in winter. You must not miss the view from above riding its cable cars to the mountain summit. The photo was captured using my Nikon D3200, Nikkor 18-55 mm AF lens, ISO: 100, S: 1/125, F: 5.6, focal length: 24 mm and auto white balance. I made 3 brackets with +2, 0, -2 exposures which were merged together by Aurora HDR 2019 to produce my HDR photo.

Beautiful image of people enjoying a day at the lake and park. The crowd enjoying the day and in water all reminds me how much we miss pre-Covid19 days. The image is good but the lake is slightly going down hill on the right side. The image tells a nice story of social relaxation.   Posted: 10/11/2020 21:55:33

Those were the days.. hopefully again soon. Looks like a nice place to relax and the photograph definitely shows that. A couple of things, the green foreground grass seems to be a little oversaturated as compared to the hillside. I would probably clone out the girl in the middle and crop off a little bit.   Posted: 10/12/2020 14:41:05

The blend looks good and the scene very inviting. I'm inclined to agree with both Max on the apparent slight tilt to the far shore and Brad on the slightly tighter crop up from the bottom. You struck a nice balance between having the sky pop a bit while preserving the haze in the distance. We over do the compensation in that last part too often and find that the result doesn't feel quite right but we can't put our finger on why. We're used to seeing the haze but want to eliminate it in our photos for some reason. Good job.   Posted: 10/12/2020 16:51:57

Very nice capture. I could see it as a postcard or in a travel brochure. I agree with the removal of the lone person in the middle. She seems out of place. Also double check your horizon.   Posted: 10/29/2020 12:20:11

wow, looks like the cover of the hotel magazine, or a postcard. People can be hard to HDR and tone map properly, kudos.

one thing to tweak -- The horizon like a tad tilted.   Posted: 10/31/2020 12:51:11
