Tom Branch Falls by Brad Ashbrook

November 2019 - Tom Branch Falls

About the Image(s)

This was photographed a couple of weeks ago near Cherokee NC. Didn't find much fall color but I did find some nice waterfalls. This was a 4 shot HDR processed in Aurora HDR, made normal highlight, shadow, white balance and negative saturation. Opened in CC and made a horizon adjustment and a dodge tool to whiten the waterfalls. Then opened in flex, for a little more warming, vignette and added a slight sunrays to the existing sunrays.

The composition is very nice. The tones and colors look natural. I think the added push with the sunray filter was a goo idea and works nicely within the context of the frame. This one lacks some of the clarity / sharpness you r shots normally have. Was there a slight breeze blowing?   Posted: 11/16/2019 14:49:19

Hmmm, didn't think so. Will check the originals.   Posted: 11/16/2019 16:49:23
