Malmo Sweeden by Mahmoud Raslan

August 2019 - Malmo Sweeden

About the Image(s)

This photo was taken in June 2019 during my visit to Malmö, Sweden. I was impressed by the architecture of the building with its nice reflection on the water. The photo was captured using my Nikon D3200, 55-300 AF lens, ISO: 100, S: 1/250, F: 5.6, focal length: 70 mm and auto white balance. I made 3 brackets with +2, 0, -2 exposures which were merged together using Aurora HDR 2019 to produce my HDR photo. Finally I did some fine adjustments using Photoshop CC.

This is a beautiful scne of this elegant building well placed in this composition with the stream, reflections and even the weeds, adding to the main subject. There are no distracting items in this image and shows us some Swedish architecture. From the front to the back it appears on my monitor to be sharp throughout. The colors are saturated maybe just a little too much, but does give it "punch".   Posted: 08/17/2019 16:41:17

The blend looks good with smooth transitions as the tones change. The composition leads my eye very effectively. I am inclined to agree with Max that the colors do come across as somewhat over saturated on my monitor. The image has a lot of punch as a result but I feel it is well enough crafted that it would show just as well if the saturation was pulled back a bit. I did note that the top of the tree on the left seems to be darker than the lower 2/3 of it. Nothing major by any means.   Posted: 08/18/2019 21:51:27

Beautiful. I like the scene, the tones, the reflection and ripple.

The blend looks natural, even in the weeds, just the top of the left tree looks darker.

perhaps tone down (burn0 the weeds just a tad since I want them to complement not competee with the building and reflection   Posted: 08/18/2019 23:06:10
