Peoh Place Barn by Bob Patrick

June 2018 - Peoh Place Barn

About the Image(s)

Nikon D800e, Gitzo 320, Sigma 24-105 F4 at 24mm, 3 shot bracket F16, then 1/60, 1/8, and 1/2 seconds. Images combined in HDR Effex Pro 2.

We moved out of Seattle. This old barn is on a county road in Kittitas County, WA. About the only things holding it up are the steel rods. I went inside anyway to set up for this view.

The blend is even and the tones look realistic. Adding some extra Clarity might give it a bit more kick. I appreciate that the wire were holding it up, but they are hard to ignore. The roof area is very nice.   Posted: 06/07/2018 20:26:36

Interesting image with all of the open spaces between the boards. The wires do not bother me. You did an excellent job of capture processing to have both the interior wood and the outside in good exposure.   Posted: 06/10/2018 11:09:07

The process is very natural and I would probably remove the wires. Maybe add a little more clarity or contrast for some extra punch.   Posted: 06/19/2018 18:04:39

Good exposures lacking serious shadows and the lighting outside the building. The cables kind of tell a story, that someone is desperate to keep this building from coming apart or having a serious lean.   Posted: 06/19/2018 20:24:03

I agree about getting rid of the wires

seems like some dehaze and some clarity and contrast would make it pop more   Posted: 06/21/2018 02:41:41
