About the Image(s)

I don’t often get to work with a model. Tempe Camera had a workshop at Prescott airport. This young lady was very friendly
and went out of her way.

Pentax K 3. Focal length 123. ISO 100. F 5.6, 1/125th second. It was very bright in mid afternoon.

Very nice story telling image. I really like the different tones of brown in this image and the gray background sets the model off. I feel the things in background behind her head are distracting. There is a bottle coming out of her head, yellow extension cord etc. The starburst brings my eye to her white eye, which is part of the story.   Posted: 02/05/2021 14:02:17

You found a cool model Mark. Love the get up and crazy look. I think you have a nice classic pose and have cropped well. I even like the little starburst on her right shoulder as it adds to the overall look. I must agree with Linda though I think a darkened background would help eliminate the distractions around her head an make her pop a bit more. Nice fun shot.   Posted: 02/05/2021 16:18:10

You certainly captured this one eye crazy gal! I like the lighting and how it enhances the tones in her hair. I find that I am confused by the direction of the light. It appears to me to be coming form the right and the star burst is on the left. When I scrolled down, it cropped the image to the top of her head, eliminating the drill which to me is more pleasing. I find the colors work very well together and enhance the image. Fun image!   Posted: 02/10/2021 11:29:02

A neat portrait of an adventurous woman. Is that supposed to be a fake right eye, was not sure. If so a patch may be fitting. focus, color and pose is excellent. The light seems to me to come from upper left (our orientation) back. You can see the shadow on the right, of something projected onto the bus. I agree that the background distractions could be toned down or blurred. I am not sure if the glare off the headphones can be diminished. I feel like messing with those things but may just do it for fun. Models are nice to deal with. Why mess with birds and rocks? Sorry Mark I could not help myself. With all of the other suggestions I think the main one would be to get up close and personal.   Posted: 02/11/2021 17:02:22

This is a cool portrait. I love the detail in her hair! There are a few things that I think distract a bit from the photo behind her head as well as the words on the bus, but otherwise I like it a lot.   Posted: 02/17/2021 09:43:49
