Just thought it was interesting, touring Illinois during Covid. I went to Woodstock Illinois, home of the movie Groundhog Day. People were touring from their cars and some restaurants are out of business, But but it is still beautiful.
Shot around the town square with my canon 6D. ISO 400 45mm on 25-105 lens, f 7.1. This is an Hdr with HDR EFFEX PRO 2 , adjusted color with photoshop cs6, straightened with Luminar 3. I replaced sky due to HDR making it bad.

I like HDR effect you produced Harley. The colors and tone of the image make it look warm and inviting vs. your original. I think making the clock your subject was wise as it tells us when and where. I do think I would like to see a bit more of the building on the left and less of the cars at the bottom though. Posted: 11/04/2020 08:10:42
Thanks Bruce. I would like more of the building and I have another shot I could merge it with but it would probably be distorted. I actually had the name on the building, but after distorting the image to get the lines vertical and parallel, this was the best crop I could do. Also I was conflicted about the Cars, but I thought to leave them in the scene because the theme is touring during Covid. People were parked on the street looking out their doors and windows, hardly anyone on the sidewalk as there usually is. The Sign in the restaurant window on a popular corner also was to impart the story. It may not be apparent. Posted: 11/10/2020 14:06:27
I understand your thinking, making this not only a very nice HDR, but also a bit of social commentary of the state of the times. Hopefully we can get out of our cocoons soon and get back to everyday life. Posted: 11/12/2020 13:11:17

I like the HDR detail brought out in this image with the clock being the main focus. The colors blend well, and the replacement sky fits the image well. My brain keeps automatically looking down in the bottom left corner watching the person getting out of the car, which is a bit distracting, but at the same time adds some fun mystery to the image in my opinion. My eye goes to the hand on the car door and then around the image. I understand about the covid, but unless you told me that, I wouldn't know. In 20 years when this is hanging in a museum, would anyone know that is the story? The effect works very nicely makes for a nice image. Posted: 11/14/2020 13:49:51
