About the Image(s)

This was taken in July of 2014. I was in Luxemburg for only one day. What a beautiful city!
I was walking around and came on the incredible sight – a whole street with a ceiling of umbrellas. They must have a lot of money in Luxembourg – everyone was dressed “to the nines”.
There were shops with an incredibly beautiful woman just sitting waiting for a customer. There were many a dozen items of clothing for sale in the shop. I expect very pricey.

Pentax K 3 with Pentax 16-50 zoom. Focal length 19 mm. F 11, 1/250th second, ISO 100.

What a cool street scene. Nice capture. I really like the colorful umbrellas and I am sure that is what drew you to this shot. In addition I think the open space at the bottom of the photo letting us view the umbrellas shadows before we see people is an excellent way to lead our eye into your image. There we view the hustle and bustle of the vibrant city as far as the eye can see. My only suggestion, perhaps for next time, I would like to see the symmetry of the shot taken dead center in the street instead of off to one side.   Posted: 09/06/2020 14:49:42

Beautiful Image. This is good use of HDR. Really like the shapes, the lines, circles, and curves and the human aspect. The only thing I would do, would be to cut the two half umbrellas out at the top. Great job Mark.   Posted: 09/10/2020 09:17:32

Beautiful shot with life and energy. Bruce made an interesting suggestion which would be more like an infinity shot. I think the picture works like this though due to weighting. Many people on left balanced with more large buildings on the right. It feels balanced to me. Wish I was there.   Posted: 09/12/2020 10:07:49
