About the Image(s)
I shot this old Kodak and 620 roll film against a black background hoping that the viewer would focus on the subject. I used a Canon 7D MII with ISO at 800, f/8 and 1/15 sec. Zoom lens was at 40mm. My biggest challenge was the lighting and trying to get the items evenly lit without spectral highlights or blown out areas on the silver metal. I did a lot of adjustment and put up more than a few flags to shape the light. I also did some final adjustments in Lightroom

Thank you. Focus magic was said to be designed to sharpen and read license plates etc via satellite. It may have just been a rumor.   Posted: 08/07/2020 10:54:30

This just GREAT! Technically it is just perfect! More important is the story! Especially to photographers! This photo has tremendous impact for a still life! That is hard to do! Great idea! I wish I could think of stuff like this!   Posted: 08/08/2020 12:06:48

Thanks for your comment, I agree on the sharpness.   Posted: 08/31/2020 07:31:34
This brought back so many memories of film processing. It was so cold in the darkroom we had to put the dev in a saucepan and heat it on a gas ring and, depending on how cloudy and grey the liquid was, adjust the dev time accordingly! I love the lighting and the composition and I wouldn't want to change anything.   Posted: 08/30/2020 19:07:13

Thanks for your comments Mike. Heating up the developer must have made the darkroom smell especially pleasant (Ha Ha).   Posted: 08/31/2020 07:33:49
