Smokey Mountains by Lane B Lewis

March 2020 - Smokey Mountains

About the Image(s)

This was made on my way out of the Valley and going up through the mountains in TN. There were not many places to pull over and the first chance I got, I was able to jump out and capture this image. It was made with a Canon Mark 5D Mk IV 24-70 lens, shot at ISO 100. 24 mm, f/9 50 sec. Processed in Lightroom.

I love the composition. The trees add foreground interest and leave the main view open. Wonderful detail right to the horizon and the sun is nicely positioned to show off the contours of the mountains.   Posted: 03/10/2020 16:37:29

Vast and very well composed! Trees on left a real plus! Many leading lines in those mountains. Very good light! To my eye the color seems a little off?   Posted: 03/11/2020 05:59:58

HI Mark,
On my monitor it is warmer. It was a funny light because, it was raining, fog and the sun was trying to come out.   Posted: 03/19/2020 21:01:20

Beautiful Image. I wish I was there now. It looks like a painting. Great composition. Love the texture and the colors. The only thing I would change is to take out the little trees at the right bottom or maybe darken them a little.   Posted: 03/22/2020 08:08:39
