About the Image(s)

Taken last month when I was in Melbourne, with my Canon EOS 700D. ISO 3200, 1/80, F/11. I loved the architecture in Melbourne, always something new to see.
I changed this to black and white, a little crop, and that’s about it. Have a great August everyone.

Black and White is the way to go here. I always ask myself is color necessary in this image. This image is all about pattern and the Black and White conveys that in a meaningful way. I like the crop and the line.   Posted: 08/09/2019 12:02:57

I like the patterns structure, monochrome and lines. It is one of those photos that beckons me to play with. I did but not sure I like it more. Nice catch.   Posted: 08/15/2019 18:25:57

Great Textures and I do like the black and white. Again, I would experiment with different crops. The building on the right for me is distracting because it is so light. Perhaps, darkening it would make it less so and add balance. My eye seems to go to it and then back to the darker building. ( The darker building could stand on it's own with a pigeon tucked in one of the cervices.......where are they when you need them?)   Posted: 08/15/2019 21:24:08

I like Harley's reversal of the image as it gives more weight to the patterns on the building. I still prefer the black & white version for textures though.   Posted: 08/30/2019 09:47:17
