Gas Lamp by Linda M Medine

January 2019 - Gas Lamp

About the Image(s)

Happy New Year to everyone,

This is a gas light taken in Branson, MO. I was in Branson before Christmas. This Gas Lamp caught my eye. It was 2:46 p.m. The sun was low and the shadow between the buildings made it dark. I was using my Nikon D500 with 28mm- 300mm lens, 1/50. ISO 200, 5.6f in Manual mode.

Linda I really like this image. To me it's very tranquil with the low light effect. In my opinion the separation of the lantern and the background is good. In my eyes the flicker of the flame and the blurred background in nice.   Posted: 01/04/2019 18:54:59

This is a nice image. I do like the background. I wonder what the story is?   Posted: 01/07/2019 13:50:16

The tones and colors are very mysterious, and like Toni, what's is the rest of the story? Nice image..   Posted: 01/07/2019 17:31:11

Study of a gas lamp, well almost silhouetted, Sepia nice touch. The flame draws you. Very Nice, relaxing image.   Posted: 01/07/2019 18:58:42

Dark and moody. Good composition!   Posted: 01/21/2019 16:45:24

What a lovely, moody image. There is some detail in the woodwork and the lamp, however, the subject is never in doubt - and what a great background colour as well.   Posted: 01/26/2019 12:24:14
