About the Image(s)
Down a Country road was made with my Canon 5DMKIV f/16 ISO 200. It was processed in Lightroom, just basic settings.

Hi Harley,
I do have that composition. However, I felt that the blue sky against the barn and there were some yellow flowers ( primary colors) worked. I can't figure out what happened to the yellow flowers by the way! They were there.
I am going to see if cropping at the end of the metal fence and keeping some of the sky works. Stay tuned!!!!!   Posted: 06/10/2018 12:03:33

I like the opening in the fence as a way for the viewer to step into the image.   Posted: 06/10/2018 13:57:54

That is one way to go in, but I find myself following the winding road to the other side- no shortcut.   Posted: 06/10/2018 15:20:27

I very much like the leading line. The perspective is interesting. The barn is lower and I find that effective with the lane leading to it. I like the shadows on the right part of the lane. I would crop out the metal gate on the left.   Posted: 06/10/2018 13:07:50

I like the original crop which included the gate. To me the gate adds interest. Colours are lovely. A nice peaceful image.   Posted: 06/13/2018 22:48:58
I agree with the idea of cropping out the gate, for me it's the wrong color and texture and too new. I prefer Lane's crop as it leaves the sky and a little bit of the gate post for interest, otherwise it's a well spotted and composed image.   Posted: 06/22/2018 19:03:03
