Manny the Mandarin Duck was mentioned frequently on social media in February 2016 when he was spotted in Centennial Park of Irving, Texas. I left Plano, Texas about 3 o'clock in the afternoon of a day when the Mid-Cities Stamp Club was meeting that evening and drove to Irving, Texas. This duck was easy to find because of all the attention he was getting. I made several photographs of this duck before meeting the postage stamp collectors for dinner before their meeting in Irving.

I made this photograph with my Nikon D750 camera and SIGMA DG 150.0-500.0 mm f/5.0-6.3 lens.

Focal length: 350 mm
ISO 100
Aperture: f/10.0
Shutter Speed: 1/125 second

I went back to my RAW image this evening file and processed it in Luminar 4 with Topaz DeNoise AI and Topaz Sharpen AI plugins.

very nice image, I like the sharpness and colors on the duck. My only suggestion I can make is to crop some of the left side, you just have to much open space.   Posted: 02/05/2021 14:35:41

Such a beautiful image of the wood duck. These are such colorful birds. I would love to photograph one of these one day.

I hurriedly reprocess this image. I keep hoping to find my original processed image that I entered into the print contest at the Dallas Camera Club where it won Honorable Mention. I agree the background needs to be darker.   Posted: 02/17/2021 19:15:20
