About the Image(s)
This photo was taken three weeks ago in Yellowstone. I used a rented Canon 800mm lens and a Canon 5DMark1/V. The settings were 1/800th at F11 and ISO3200. processing was done in Luminar.

A very good shot as the Bison is leaving the water. Using a 8oomm lens, you were a lot safer then the underwater shot you took with the shark coming at you. I think I would have put a dot of light in the eyes to draw you directly to the face, but it's a great shot.   Posted: 02/04/2021 11:29:23

Very good image. I like that you shot him/her as they came out of the water and that he/she is centered, which makes it look as if he/she is coming for you.
I agree with Stuart as to the eyes. I also would have upped the contrast a bit along with color to bring out the bison. It may also help to either darken the sky and/or cropped off some of it so the eyes would go to the bison and not stray to the white area. Nice image.   Posted: 02/04/2021 13:36:35

I have since lightened the eyes-thanks. At times the bison were very close but not this shot.   Posted: 02/12/2021 09:09:10

Impactful image and a strong subject. He stands out very well against the background. Super shot.   Posted: 02/12/2021 16:01:31

Great shot! Glad you were at a safe distance, it looks like the bison is coming straight at you.   Posted: 02/14/2021 13:59:11
