About the Image(s)

This was taken about a month ago at a one ring circus at the county fair grounds. I did quite a bit working on this image, both in Photoshop and Topaz.
Taken with my Panasonic Lumix FZ200
f/ 2.8 ; 1/25sec ; ISO400 @125mm

The whites do not have detail in places. There is a lot of noise. i do not know why at ISO400. was the original under exposed a lot? It sure is cute.   Posted: 01/12/2020 14:21:37

I just checked, I can not find any noise. I used the new Topaz noise Ai and also put it through Luminar. Results both the same No Noise. I have attached a picture of the same camel. I just entered this in our camera club and received high marks for this. The club just purchased a new laptop and a new projector. Because of the quality of the projector the size was raised to 1280 X 800. The copy attached, I reduced to our size 1024 X 768. As these. are circus animals, they don't brush out their coats The lighting in the room doesn't help either.   Posted: 01/13/2020 09:46:12

I really like the camel and the placement of him in the frame. He makes a great subject. The black background was a good choice. I do think the whites are overexposed.   Posted: 01/22/2020 21:28:10

I like the black background that accentuates the subject. I especially like the hints of blue near the nose that is repeated in the rope. My first impression was there is alot of detail in the eyelashes and the nose and neck hairs. That was probably the focal point.   Posted: 01/12/2020 16:27:42

The background was very busy. I blacked out everything ,but this Camel.   Posted: 01/13/2020 09:48:23

This is an outstanding photograph; it makes me wonder what the Camel is thinking and listening to. I find it to be a major challenge to remove objects from the image like you did. I haven't developed the skill to select only the object or area that I want to work on. Circuses are a difficult place to make photographs because of lack of good vantage position, poor lighting, all sorts of movement, etc.   Posted: 01/14/2020 01:15:48

My error. I use very little processing and thought the weird colors were noise. I showed it to a professional and he said the weird colors were from over processing. he also pointed out where the white is blown out and suggested you hit the white with NIK detail extractor.   Posted: 01/14/2020 12:53:09

Thanks for your comments. I don't use Nik. Some of the weird colors may have been coming from the colored lights in the room. Hi ceilings with displays and rides for the kids. Thanks again.   Posted: 01/23/2020 06:59:58
